Functionally, it’s a sheet mask that corrects the issues plaguing its disposable cousins. 1\. Structure! Avant Guard doesn’t sag and drag like disposable sheet masks do, firmly staying put so your base product can do its job without getting disturbed. 2\. Comfort! The flexible ear loops fit snugly enough to keep the mask in place without digging into your skin. No more disposable sheet mask ear loop rippage, thank you! 3\. Sustainability! The biggest sell, in my opinion. While standard sheet masks often leave significant amounts of product behind in their original packaging, no product waste occurs when using Avant Guard. The material feels thinner than I was expecting, not sure if it will last as long as I was originally hoping for but I will have to report back on that end after longer term use. The packaging is also super cheap and I wish there was a nicer case or storage option that came with it, since it is supposed to be a reusable product I wish the storage option was not a plastic ziplock style pouch. The mask only makes contact with the outer sides of my face cheeks, bottom of chin, forehead. Awesome. Everything else on my face makes no contact with the mask such as the front panel of my face cheeks, upper lip, upper chin area because my nose is having to stretch the material forward! But I think there’s something about this product I think has room for improvement and I’d love to see them somehow add space in between the corners of the nose. The nose flap maybe can be engineered where it’s wider. Much wider without making the slits go any closer to the eye holes. I didn’t want to fill this out without giving some sort of solution/idea cause I think this could be a really great product. Hilda E Verified checkmark Verified Buyer Skin Type:Combo + Acne Prone I just tried this today with the Kose Clear Turn vitamin C sheet mask and fitted the Avant Guard silicone mask on my face and it felt calming, soothing, and refreshing! 🙌 It fitted my face really well and the ear loops are stretchy so they don't feel uncomfortable to wear for a while at all! 👌 The material is soft, rubbery, and comfortable to wear on my face. For reference, I bought two different silicone masks online which are similar and they are both uncomfortable to wear only because of the ear loops aren't stretchy to form fit your face, so it it stretched around my cheeks and face I really couldn't wear it at all... The stretchy ear loops make it fit well compared to the ones without it. I would rather recommend these than any other silicone masks because of those reasons. I would also try doing DIY sheet masks with square cotton pads and then put on the silicone mask and it’s perfect to seal the cotton pads so they don’t fall off and acts as a barrier as well 🫶 would mostly use them more for sheet masks but using them for serums is just as great as well! I feel like some people might not buy these because of the like green color so I can see why it can be dismissed. It’s probably from the aesthetic from the brand so I understand that. A SKINCARE INNOVATION! I stopped using sheet masks in my routine about 2 years ago. I used to love the process, the relaxation and the glow I would get from a sheet mask. I tried to keep my spending to about $3-$5 per sheet mask, although I never truly found one that I loved the serum enough and we know that you can drop some serious coin on a sheet mask (SK-2???) So that created some issues for me as I got into skincare more and realized that sheet masks were just a mechanism to hydrate the skin through occlusion with a hydrating serum. I didn’t want to use a random serum in a random sheet mask because I had serums in my rotation that I loved and saw results from. So three reasons I stopped using sheet masks: the sheer amount of waste, the additional money spent and the serums were never what I wanted. Fast forward to a month ago when I heard of a REUSABLE SILICON SHEET MASK where you use your own serum or hydrator. I don’t know why this wasn’t made before! It’s literally one of the most innovative skincare products I’ve seen recently heard of and I couldn’t recommend it more. I’ve told anyone who will listen about this brand! Plus the customer service was great, I purchased the big head size which ended up being too big so I reached out to process a return and they just told me to keep the one I ordered and promptly sent me the small size which arrived within the week. Also the fit is perfect, it’s comfortable and doesn’t shift around. The ear loops secure the mask snuggly on my face so I can move around and do things but they don’t pull or cause pain. Only thing is, don’t try to eat or brush your teeth, it will be messy lol aftercare is simple, just wash with mild soap and let air dry then store in the zip pouch it came in. Again, can’t stress enough how amazing this product is. I would say I will be repurchasing but I won’t have to for a very long time, which is the best part of it all!
